Padres CEO Sandy Alderson says it is likely that Peavy will be a Padre on Opening Day. He went on to say he doesn't believe there have been new talks with the Cubs. The Sun-Times reported this morning that the Peavy deal was expected, but I'm going to believe Alderson for now.
