Here are a few Cubs Notes:
  • Orlando Hudson could be possibility for the Cubs. I think he would make a lot of sense even though I want to see Little Babe Ruth get more playing time. Bruce Levine and Gordon Wittenmyer have been speculating about Hudson being a fit all winter, and now Nick Cafardo says the the Cubs could add Orlando soon. Maybe Miles could be a super sub at 3rd, 1st, SS, 2B, and outfield instead of signing Aurilia or Nomar as the 25th man.
  • The Giants have offered Rich Aurilia a minor league contract.
  • Pitchers and catchers will meet in Mesa on Friday at noon! The first work out will be Saturday! I can't wait.
  • Rich Hill thanked Jim Hendry for taking good care of him. He also says that his bad year last year was because if injuries. We'll see if he has a come back year with the O's this year.
  • Jim Hendry could wait to add a guy like Hudson or a bat to the bench until the end of Spring Training or even earlier in the season. Remember the Johnson and Edmonds signings a year ago.
  • Tons more posts to come tomorrow and throughout the week.

Chat Wed. at 7 PM CT.

I want to hear your opinions on Wednesday. I'll take your questions as always, but also want to hear what you think especially:

  • If your the manager of the Cubs what's your opening day lineup? Get your batting order ready that will be a main topic on Wednesday.
  • Also, what do you think of this off season? Are the Cubs really better than last year?

This will be one of our most exciting weeks yet with plenty of good stuff right here on this blog, so keep checking back!
