Tickets Going on Sale, Cubs buy Shawn McGill, and more

A few Cubs Rumors and Notes:

  • Cubs tickets go on sale Feb. 20.
  • Cubs fans can have their name appear in the credits of "We Believe" movie. Click here for info.
  • Gary Hughes, a member of the Cubs front office, will be inducted into the Scouts Hall of Fame.
  • The Lincon Salt Dogs (of the American Association of Independent Professional Basebal) have sold the contract of catcher Shawn McGill to the Cubs. He played with the Phillies organization in 2006 and '07. He batted .299 with 8 HR and 43 RBI in 2008.
  • The Rickets family could move the Iowa Cubs to Omaha because of his ties there according to Hot Stove Cubbies blog.
  • Chat went well again. It will probably be on Wednesday again next week, I'll announce the day and time this weekend.

  1. I live in Omaha, and I heard about 235423543 times that this Iowa Cubs will not come to Omaha. I dont understand that, because there is a city around Omaha that is goign to build a new stadium for a baseball team. So the Royals (Omaha) will go to Cass County and Iowa Cubs will move to Omaha when the new stadium is built in Omaha, which will be open for the 2011 College World Series. P.S. the new stadium in Omaha is going to be super SUPER nice and modern, everybody should come see it. If you have any question about the Iowa Cubs coming to omaha ill try to answer.
