- Corey Koskie's comeback has ended after he left a game the other day with illness. He has changed his mind and has decided to head back to retirement.
- Ted Lilly is not scheduled to start for team USA for the rest of the WBC, but he will stay with the team in case a game goes extra-innings.
- Lou Piniella said that Geovany Soto appears to have gained some weight.
