I always like to keep up on all of our former Cubbies. I'll keep you posted on these guys as the season moves along.
In the 11 Days leading up to Opening Day, I will recap the MLB Network's "30 Clubs in 30 Days" for each of the other teams in the NL Central. I'll start with the Brewers either today or tomorrow.
Other Cubs Notes:
- The Tribune reports that Jeff Samardzija could lose out to Angel Guzman for the final spot in the pen.
- Rule 5 pick David Patton might not make the team even though he's had a 0.93 ERA this Spring.
- Patton could end up making the team if either Vizcaino or Gaudin get traded or injured.
- Randy Wells, Chad Fox, and Mike Stanton are long shots at this point.
There is a lot to be determined in the final week in Mesa. It should be interesting...
