Off Day Notes

• The Cubs edged the Rockies yesterday 9-8. Click for box score.
• The Cubs made 5 roster cuts yesterday: Jose Ascaino, Sam Fuld, Jake Fox, Bobby Scales, and Jason Waddell were all went to minor league camp. There are now 37 guys in camp, so we will see 12 more cuts in the next week and a half.
• Richie Robnett has been removed from the 40-man roster. The Cubs 40-man now stands at 38.
• Lou will not use both Marmol and Gregg as closer, he will pick one of them to fill the role.
• Angel Guzman, Chad Fox, Jeff Samardzija, David Patton, Chad Gaudin, Luis Vizcaino, and a few others are all battling for the final 3 spots in the bullpen.
• Lou is filming a commercial for DirectTV today.
• Ted Lilly threw a simulated game yesterday. He has not pitched in a Cactus League game since before the WBC.
• Kosuke will make his Spring Training debut tomorrow night VS SF, according to Cubs.com. But Bruce Miles reports that he will not get into a game until Friday. We'll see who is right.
• The Cubs 25-man roster will be set by the time they leave Arizona to go to New York for 2 games before Opening Day.
• Harden is expected to pitch in a minor league game today.
• The Cubs have released 2003 first round draft pick Ryan Harvey.
